Study of the governance practices of French unlisted SMEs / SMIs

Responsible governance, a fundamental pillar of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aims to rethink corporate strategy and the associated organization by integrating sustainable development issues. Both the starting point and the compass of a sustainability approach, it makes it possible to reconcile strategy, economic performance and the company's ecological transition.

As part of this study, Arkéa Banque Entreprises & Institutionnels, Arkéa Capital and EthiFinance assessed the governance practices of unlisted French SMEs1 against those of SMEs listed on regulated markets. Faced with the rise of social and environmental concerns and the growing expectations of their stakeholders, both listed and unlisted SMEs are called upon to structure and organize themselves in order to integrate extra-financial criteria into their business model.
